The Fountain (movie)
« on: July 16, 2007, 03:58:16 PM »

i know i posted about this before,  .... anyone else besides me and sal end up seeing this yet ?

visually stunning, heartfelt performances, and mind-jarringinly complex.  watching it now a 2nd time, it is really hard to not feel bad for how weisz and jackman were totally robbed at the 'awards' crapola.

Watched it this afternoon. Had I not already known it was an Aranofsky film, it wouldn't have been hard to guess. I'll agree with Aske insofar as it is visually brilliant, and very well acted. I found the story to be better than average, but not genius. One of the better movies I've seen as of late, but not one I'd watch over and over. 3 stars.

I'll add it to the Blockbuster queue.  I haven't been following the 'Aske movie reviews' so this is your opportunity to impress me.  I'm tough to impress too  Devil Wink

The stable could actually use more residents - but the last time I went with quantity over quality I ended up taking a little green pill for 10 days  Embarrassed Shocked

Its all about quality now  Grin

Honestly, if you're looking to be impressed with "Aske movie recommendations" I'd say rent Children of Men first.
