I just saw this follow-up letter: This is in response to Matt Palmer's letter of July 20 in response to Sue-Lon Drew's letter of July 16 which pertains to Utah's liquor laws compared to that of New Jersey. Although I understand the point that Mr. Palmer is making, I take exception to his use of the word "Puritanism" to describe the strict laws enforced in Utah. I believe that we Puritans have gotten a bad rap. Sure, we've burned a few innocent ladies at the stake for witchcraft, but I'd like to point out that we enjoy our booze just like anybody else outside the state of Utah. While I'm at it, I'd also like to debunk the myth that Puritans are ****ually repressed. We firmly believe in a monogamous relationship and believe that adultery should be punished severely. However, rarely does such punishment need to be meted out. That's because our women put out. They are bound by Biblical laws to do so. And boy do they put out. You'll never find a Puritan man out in his Mini Cooper on a Saturday night chasing tail, I'll tell you that much.
