Sorry Jules, gotta side with U.B. on this one. Completely different situations.

(FWIW, I was not familiar with the use of the word in either hemisphere but after looking it up, it does, in fact, have a much more severe meaning up north than your usage down under.)

Jules- no one is accusing you of any such thing. It was simply pointed out that the word "wog" does not have the same meaning in Britain and in the States as it does in Australia and it is much more severe here. Just as the word "bloody" in the states is an adjective to describe something soaked in blood, and "bugger" is frequently used as a synonym for "dealy" or "thingamabob."
