went sunday aft/ left tuesday aft.  spent all day monday and tuesday morning at conference. not really any time to explore around except my immediate vicinity.  saw a small part of boston commons on monday around lunch.   neat area of town, can't imagine the rent/price on some of the apts/condos

You should be fairly close to Newbury St. Lot's of shops, etc. I'd guess 3 miles-ish.
Faneuil Hall Marketplace is about the same distance. Shops, food, clubs.
Museum of Science is about 4 or 5 miles away.

Take the T (Subway). Cheaper than a cab if you need to travel futher.

he lives in Mass. he really talks that way. Grin

I haf ta dumb it down fuh people that ahn't frum heya. 
BTW Aske, No one can imagine the rent/price on apts/condos around here lol.
