Shot a PB today

44/45 (for U.B.'s edification- Old Mill GC). Not that impressive, but for me kind of a big deal. Never broken 90 before. That means, assuming U.B. and Campy and I are still teeing it off next Sunday (U.B. PM me) I'll suck some serious *bunghole*. I'll look for a 107 or so. Superbad.

Nice spacey. I don't think I've bettered 90 on that course. I refuse to go back after the 17th hole (I think, short, straight, tight par-four??) jumped up and bit me twice in two rounds.  I have one issue to overcome for next weekend but I think it'll probably be a go. I'll PM you early in the week. |

Well done spaceman. Did you know you're score as you were comin' down 17 and 18, did you know how close you were? I knew what I shot for the front, and I kind of had an idea on the back, but I wasn't keeping a running tally, so it wasn't thinking anything like "I need a par on this hole to break 90." |

I've been hitting my tee shots  reasonably well all season, not terribly long but generally in the fairway or close to it. My putting has gotten progressively better, though I still have some blow ups and continue to struggle with leaving makable putts short. I think the thing that really helped me this last game was within 100 yards. Short game, but off the green sort of stuff. The real trick will be to see if I can get any of it to carry over to the next round. |
