I'll probably go outside and check it out. That is if I can actually see it through the trees. There is a good chance I'll be up around 5-6 am any ways due to my son.

Probably not. Any alarm clock that could wake me up would still wake everyone else up 10 minutes before me.* I don't think I should wake everyone up just so I could watch.
*The only exception to that is my dad. He's the perfect alarm clock. Taps me on the shoulder, says time to get up, and I usually do. Probably due to the fact that he always woke me up early to take me fishing and hunting when I was younger.

Yes, My wife and I set the alarm. We let the dogs out in the middle of the night anyway. It was great. Awesome experience.

I got up at 3:30 to try and check it out, but there are too many trees around where I live.  So I just went back to bed. Apparently the one coming up in Feb. will be at a better time. |

My wife can't stand my alarm for the same reason. It takes me 5-10 minutes to wake up, so she says, and it is a loud annoying alarm right next to the bed. My father had to pull out all stops to get me up in the morning as a kid. He pretty much resorted to walking into my room, turning on the lights and yanking all the covers off of me. That worked most of the time. |
