A thief who broke into a car at a martial arts school in Nelson, New Zealand, was chased by more than 100 karate experts, including 30 black belts. Member Rob Wilson saw him take two mobile phones. Police said: "He was lucky they didn't catch him. He'd have been karate-chopped to hell."
