Do you mean "Huntsman Spiders"?  They're ok, they eat insects and scare the bejesus out of small children and women....

LOL,

We get "Huntsmen" fairly regularly... I once saw a rather large one eating a sparrow while I was out camping...

check the link on wiki  to the urban dictionary entry on clock spider.  unfortunately, the correct photo order is  3-2-1  not 1-2-3 (someone entered it wrong)...
