Digital Golf Pro - Golf Pro in a Bag
« on: September 04, 2007, 01:23:20 PM »

This is kind of interesting.  I admit I've thought about jury-rigging a camcorder to my stand bag to record a round.

"We've given golfers a simple way to record any of their swings while they're on the course so that their game can be easily analyzed later by a PGA professional or by themselves to correct mistakes," says Richard Miller, CEO of Digital Pro. "The system is always in the golfer's bag and takes only seconds to set up. We've taken the guess work out of the game."

On second thought, this looks like it's not very practical since you have to setup the camera for each shot.  I thought it would record from the bag and you could use the stand bag like a tripod.  I'd hate to be playing behind anybody using this on a course.

I have one of them.  It's name is Kevin.  He goes golfing with me every time I go.  He pulls out the camera on burst mode or video.  No setup or anything; he does it himself.  Even better is that he talks and analyzes, too.

Voila! Cheesy

8-1 Advice

During a stipulated round, a player must not:

(a) give advice to anyone in the competition playing on the course other than his partner, or
(b) ask for advice from anyone other than his partner or either of their caddies.

Voila! Pile-o-penalties. Cheesy

So, as long as you're not asking for the advice, you're probably beating him every time out.   Wink

Regarding the gimmick, I only used iron covers for one round before I decided that was way too much hassle.  This thing wouldn't make it to the turn.   Devil

lol!  Beat him every time - I wish.

Couldn't he qualify as a partner, though?  Well, either way, he does save the analysis until after the round.
