lol.  I'd be considering it a good thing.  Unless, of course, it's financially not a good time to replace it.

Our TV is dying, too.  Has been for quite some time.  I guess it's not dead enough yet for us to replace it yet, though.  Or even to start looking for one.  It only has a high-pitched squeal and the off/on button sticks terribly, forced to use the remote for that.

It never seems to be a good time to replace something. Grin   What worries me is that once I get a decent television, I am going to want HDTV, and the HD DVD etc...that is what is going to get expensive.

Well, how far into the death process is your television?  I mean, is it just little quirks you can deal with until you're more decided on maybe getting a more technically advanced tv?

I *would* like for us to get a new tv, but I can put up with it for now.  Not to mention, there are other things that are set at a higher priority for now.  And if it's between the computer or the television, the computer comes first.  Not that the computer is right now, but there are other things.  Anyway, the longer we wait, the better the chance that prices will come down. Cheesy

It's dying a slow death, it takes 3-4 minutes for it to warm up, and the color sporadically comes and goes, and it gets a rainbow sheen across the screen.  I am not a doctor, but I am thinking it is terminal.

Ouch.  I'm no doctor either, but I would say yours is farther down the terminal path than ours.
