Now that reminds me of that song "Don't go changing, to try & please me"........is it a Billy Joel song!!! Grin Grin Grin

"........
You never let me down before
Don't imagine you're too familiar
And I don't see you anymore
I wouldn't leave you in times of trouble
We never could have come this far
I took the good times, I'll take the bad times
I'll take you just the way you are"  Buddies

Mine too. I can name a tune in one line.

Oh yeah? Try to name this one:

Quote
Well we're living here in Allentown
Say Goodbye to Hollywood. Wink

Shocked Holy crap! I came thisclose to giving you this line:

Quote
Bobby's driving through the city tonight

but decided to go the comedy route. That was like a Carnac the Magnificent bit.

I submitted the letter this morning.  3:05am.  I've been speaking with supervision and lower level managment all day. (my work day that is)

Their's is shock and dismay.  Disbelief even.  I for one cannot believe that all of these people think that the union and company, who are still not talking and have no plans to do so, will come to any sort of agreement within 5 days.  Especially when the 'talking points' are still in different time zones.

Managment has submitted the paper work to the bankruptcy court to satisfy creditors if union alignment with company wishes are not achieved.

I think I've ridden this horse to death.  It may have a couple more miles, but I'm not counting on it.

I have been told that I would be welcome back, if, the company makes it through this crisis that determines it's very existance, and I feel that I've made a serious mistake.

In fact this message was interupted by a call from managment.  (I'm home and on my own time)  I may be getting an early release, which would not make me unhappy.  As long as I get paid!

Having given more notice than required, and not having burned bridges...................

I find it hard to believe that they would actually be shocked.  Not doubting you, but their sanity.  With all the changes they're making, and with all the negative increases for their employees, expecting everyone to be fine with that and stay with them doesn't make much sense.

Continued well wishes for you in regard to the time ahead!

Thank you young Lady.  I know that a percentage of my posts may be offensive to you and I apologize for that.  That said, I'm ain't changin'.   Grin

You're welcome. Smiley

Not really - or I guess, maybe possibly, but nothing stands out right now; I don't get offended that easily.  And it's not like I harbor it and hold onto it, and let it get me angry.  It stings for a few moments, and then I remind myself to let it go.  The thing that is most offensive to me is taking my Lord's name in vain or using a variant thereof.  But I don't see overmuch of that, so - *shrug*.  Also, I usually know when to stop viewing a thread before it has a chance to become something I don't want to read, or can at least tell which posts to pass over and which will be more to the subject at hand, etc.  But thank you, and you're more than forgiven if there was anything.
