We've had some improvements.  We've averaging approx. $1/day this month, which about covers the hosting.

My ideas for getting enough ad money to fund demo clubs to pass around seem a long way off, but I bet we'll be able to have a nice prize for a contest at the end of the year.

I'd estimate approx 50 cents/day is from ad impressions and the rest is from the clicks, which vary each day but average out to another 50 cents.  Image ads generally pay more per impression, but they can get annoying, so I've been sticking with text ads.

That reminds me, there's another company I've been meaning to try out for sponsored links for the lurkers, I need to test it out and see how it goes.

Both.  Some of the ads will pay a small amount per impression.  Others need a clickthrough to generate anything.
