This ever happen to you on the range?
« on: November 17, 2006, 06:14:16 PM »

I was at a grass range today and just about every shot, grass and dirt, some of it muddy would fly up onto my shirt and pants, and every 1 in 8 or so dirt would fly up and smack me in the face.  After about 20 hits, I ended up just hitting driver off a tee for about 40 shots til I got tired and went home all muddy like I was a 10 year old playing out in the dirt.

The grass was a little moist like it had been watered that morning but wasn't muddy.  I think that's the first time I went home so dirty after hitting a bucket of range balls.

Anyone else have this experience?  Nobody else on the range was having that problem, and i wasn't hitting anything especially fat.

the other day (when i played 30+)  on about the 29th hole,   I had a HORRIBLE  downhill sidehill lie that was resting in a little 'canyon'  of its own that was wet as hell.  of course, I fatted it...   needless to say, and trying to be as nice as possible, lets just say mud went UP my nostrils...

 Disgusted

spent the better part of 20 minutes and 3-4  wasted rushed careless shots  trying to get it out

Hitting out of a waste bunker a while back, I got a mouthful of what smelled and tasted like sewage.  Disgusted

Umm... I probably would have quit after one or two, and not until i'd hit 20 before deciding it was a bit muddy.  Wink

The worst I've received is a faceful of sand after hitting an explosion shot out of a bunker into the wind.  I was chewing on grit for the next couple of holes. Disgusted
