Things are worse than you think.  There is now a very good chance that Ron Paul may become the Republican Candidate, and you have to wonder if Mass America is actually ready to elect an Internet generated hologram as its next president

Not really. As somebody pointed out, Americans are loathe to change horses in midstream.

Even at that it came down to 150k vots in Ohio with arguably the worst Dem candidate since Dukakis on the ticket.

The down side (or upside) is that The Shrub managed to destroy Jeb's career and hand the White House and Congress to the Democrats for the next 10 years, although he admittedly had some help from the likes of Tom Foley and Jack Abramoff's crew.
