Last 18 of the year??
« on: October 21, 2007, 03:20:52 PM »

Got out this morning and shot a very nice 39-41-80.  Grin   1 birdie, 10 pars, 5 bogeys and 2 doubles.

With daylight dwindling, temps dropping and weekend plans coming up I will have limited chances to get out. If this is the case I am very happy with how I finished. I was staring sub-80 in the face when I doubled 14 and 3 putted both 15 and 16 for bogeys. Oh well.

Got my fingers crossed that the weather holds for a bit longer this fall.

Congrats on the good round.

I hope to squeeze at least one more round in around here.  I played Friday with a steady 30+ MPH wind, gusting up to 50, and quit after 8 holes.  I would hate to end the year on that note, so I will hopefully get out before the 31st when the course closes.

Nice round!

While raking yesterday, I thought it was the perfect day to be out golfing.

Doubt we'll see an rounds in November this year, but I suppose there's still that possibility.  Otherwise, October 6 will have been my last 9 holes of the year.

Every year at this time.  Wink

I've said it before, every winter it seems my tolerance wanes more and more. But I do look forward to snowboarding!

Thanks E. I just checked. Got in two rounds last year in early November. Really hit or miss with the weather though.

Thanks. The other nice thing about the round was that the weather was tolerable. Mid 50's with a light wind.

I didn't make it out to a course after August last year.  Sad  However, the year before I did manage one round in November. Smiley  I was even wearing short-sleeves that day. Cool

The weather we've been having so far doesn't make late-in-the-year golf look very plausible.  But maybe.

I got out and shot 41-39-80. Clearly I'm better down the stretch than you.  Wink (11 pars, 6 bogeys, 1 double).

I plan to play on Sunday, which is the end of the active season here. But I'll keep playing all year round. 55 consecutive months of golf in NJ as of right now. Global warming rules. Hang in there, you'll be playing year round in MN within a decade.

Nice. I screwed up by trying to cut a corner with my drive on 14 and wound up hosed. Should've been smarter. Oh well.

And the global warming thing isn't far off. The past few years golf in early December at some dog tracks has been common. If it weren't for the pesky snow, year round could be done.
