Anybody MySpace?
« on: October 17, 2007, 07:42:38 PM »

For some reason we now have to get a Myspace. Not that I mind terribly because, you know, some of the pictures are, well, Nice! But I do know that some of the *feces* on these pages can make any computer crash to it knees.

Just wonderin if anyone here does the MySpace thing?

The boy does (supervised).

I do web (app) development for a living.  Therefore, I don't have any web presence whatsoever.  It's a bit like the painter's house always needs painting.

Not me either.  I graduated college right before those sites became popular.  Some of my single friends are on it and all my younger brother's friends.

I set up a myspace page a while back because one of my friends told me it was a good place to find free independent music. There does indeed exist such content there, but mostly I found it to be a place to be constantly hit up with spam, particularly of the pr0n variety. I use it a little bit to keep in touch with a few friends scattered around the country, but mostly I ignore it.

I think I'd feel as comfortable setting up a MySpace page as I would be at a college kegger. Sure, there'd be some nice things to look at, but I'd feel like an idiot.

No, I'm not that old. But I'm not that rich either.
