Stoh forgot to mention that the Gin Blossoms got their name from a rosy, swollen skin condition of the nose that afflicts those who engage in excessive drinking, which happens to be one of the favorite subjects that said group used to sing about. The author of that line in Stroh's sig had such a bad drinking problem, he had to be fired from the group before the release of the hit album and song on which said line actually appears. He ended up committing suicide about a year after the album was released. |
