I was wondering why that would change with this new law. Surely driving 50kmh over the limit was illegal before the new law? I'd expect a new fine to have no impact on insurance rates. Sure, your rates will go up if you have bad marks on your driving record, but the amount of the fine shouldn't impact the rates. |

yes, i see your point. maybe insurance in canada is run by the mafia like here. LOL. They give up on Vegas? If the level of speed is deemed attributable to an increase in the amount and severity of accidents, and the amount of fine correlative to the speed, I can see an insurance company using that as a scale of potential risk. |
