Having never seen, or heard of the movie, I'll go ahead and just pre choose an option, for if, and never I see it.
I went with didn't say *fudge* nearly enough. (oftent must be an artistic term, but I'm sure it means close to the same thing)
I'm confident in that choice. Having seen Goodfellas 80-100 times, I've developed an appetite.

Ignoring the possible jab at my recent movie review, I'll say it was:
An excellent contribution to the cynical comedic violence genre
Not as good as Snatch but better than Slevin IMO.

You are SO paranoid. If I wanted to jab you, I'd jab you directly.
No, Miss Blader asked me to buy it to watch in the car on our Turkey Day road trip.
I'd never heard of it before that. But I enjoyed it. Quite a lot. I had no expectations going in, and I like being surprised. I like the quirky-parody-of-an-offbeat-genre thing.
In my day, it was "The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai"
Since getting home, and checking up on it, it seems the story of the movie itself is pretty interesting, too. The poor schlep who was the creative force behind it all got no money out of it because he signed away the DVD sales---and, of course, it was only distributed by DVD. What a slimy business! I'm sure that whatever sequel there might be will be one that brings the MacManus boys to Hollywood.....

NC-17 probably had to do with all the f-bombs and the slo'mo' blood splattering gun violence.....both of which were way over the top. To the extent that I viewed them as running gags, as if the film is saying, "These are the hero's, but they aren't really all that heroic if they can't say anything without spraying the f-bomb and a bunch of bullets all over it."
