yeh, i just meant whatever the camera exports as.

if you're fine with that format, you're just transfer time limited.  if you need to convert, it will take a couple of hours possibly, even with a good new pc.

I'm used to converting music. Is there a program that would convert my .MOV to say .MPEG or another format?

i only converted video format 1x -- making my grad video onto dvd for the 'rents.  it was a long time ago and i have no memory what program i used

Bingo!

After talking to the lads here, I was thinking there had to be a way to convert video files, just like converting .wav to mp3, and I found some free downloads just like these.

So that's three or four karmas and a smite (unless someone wants to explain dressing my daughter up and MMA skills  Devil).
