Firefox question - **SOLVED**
« on: November 27, 2006, 09:17:52 AM »

One thing I liked about IE was you could view your webpages in history simply by checking "work offline" and then clicking on the link in the history sidebar. I can't seem tofigure this out in firefox. Anyone have an answer?

Are you just wanting to view your history in the sidebar? Try ctrl+h.

No. I can see my history but when I click on it to view it offline, the page doesn't load. In IE, the temporary internet files allowed full pages to load so you could view them offline. I just checked ones I viewed yesterday and they work, but not the ones from Saturday. It appears that they delete after 48 hours, but I can't figure out how that is controlled.

I can see my history going back to Thursday, the day I installed Firefox. I have selected keep files for 24 days. However, when I work offline I can see webpages from yesterday and Saturday but webpages from Friday, won't load. When I type about:cache the Disk cache device max. storage size is 50000 Kib. That is what appears to be limiting the available webpages offline. Do you know how to make that bigger?

I found it. It's in the Network tab.

tools_options_advanced_network_cache

What an odd place.

Thanks
