On a visit to Monterey back in 1993, I ran up from the beach and strolled furtively on one of the fairways.  For one brief shining moment ... that's about the closest I'll ever get.

I remember walking along the right side of #10 gazing down on the proles.  At that time, at that place, I despised them for their averageness.
