Very nice day. mid 70's. Very little breeze. Grass was brown as you would expect in Feb. Had some great shots and in general had a great time. What I scored really didn't matter but I did have 3 great pars, one great chance at a birdie (that I of course missed).

Only downside was the greens were very fast and on some holes the pin placement was on a severe slope. Several times today we had 3 footers that missed and ended up having a 10 to 15 foot uphill putt.

It was a 5 hour round but it didn't feel like it was 5 hours. There was one hoe with a backup, a par 3 that had one such pin placement as mentioned. I think all of us 4 putted that hole, and I doubt most people had less then 3. Usually 5 hours is a pain but today it was very pleasant. In fact on the back nine the group behind us was a hole behind us and the group in front was half a hole up so we were never waiting and not being pushed. We actually had some time to reputt some of our missed putts.

I actually learned some stuff on the course as I was trying to back off a little on my swing. Now if I could just keep my mind from trying to kill the ball every time I might enjoy the game even more.

I'm a looser, but not a complete waste. At least that's what Clive says.

This is for Aske.
We played yesterday in the rain, it wasn't too bad it was overcast and drizzly (at least it was warm weather), and we had to walk, well I haven't walked at golf for a good six months, I was okay and after golf we sat down to have a drink, afterwards I went to get up and I felt like an old lady of 90, I had seized up Grin Grin it was hard work on my old bones. The good thing about getting old, is that you can hit the ball out of sight.
