The timekeepers are cheaters.

Of course, this game was pretty meaningless since both teams will end up high seeds in the NCAA tourney. I'm sure there will be payback if they meet again. But I bet the tournament committee will keep Rutgers on the opposite side of the bracket to make sure the Lady Vols get to the finals.

From what I've read and heard, it's not on the timekeepers.  Supposedly the shot clock is controlled by the ref's whistle.
