That site is blocked at work - can't read it.

But - the real solution to net neutrality is increased competition.  Codifying anything will very likely lead to new problems.

yeh, but how are you going to get increased competition ?
surely even you realize that's not going to happen.  Cool

Ah, that - read that yesterday.  Yeah, shady behavior to say the least.

Increasing competition isn't all that easy, true - but its a much better solution to the 'problem'.  Heck, even right now we have enough competition, but that may not last.  For instance, if I do a DSL search for my address I get dozens of companies more than happy to sell me 3M or more of bandwidth.  Sure, its a bit more than my 'bundled' cost with Charter - but they are not blocking traffic (neither is Charter to date btw).  But that regulated service may not last, as FIOS, Uverse, etc. rollout.  I have loads of ideas on this, but it is more than I can write at this time (too busy at work).

Legislation - people will find ways around it and it would prevent interesting and beneficial offerings from being used (throw the baby out with the bath water kinda stuff).

I'm as frustrated with telcos as anybody - moreso likely, as I dealt with them a LOT over the years.  I'd like for their business models to be torn down, their lobby heavy tactics eliminated, etc.  You ready for the job loss as a result?  More 'bad' economic news for you to lament n' all  Wink
