I'm amazed at the dropoff of MS machines among people I run into.  I go to a lot of geek networking events/hackathons and, around here, it's mostly linux and macs these days.

My wife got a free laptop from a client referral and it came with Vista Home Basic.  I'm not real thrilled with it, I may have to shell out for a copy of XP.
