Anything For A Headline. [SPOILERS]

Tv does this crap all the time.  They put Tiger on the leader board, even though he's tied with 19 other people and 3/4 of them have already posted.   Whatever.

Today.  MSN headline:  In progress: Tiger, Phil fight for Doral lead

"Wow!  I better click that link! I bet they're neck and neck!  Trading birdies.  Walking away from the field."

It would seem to me that Ogilvy is battling Tiger for the lead.  seeing that Phil is 3 shots back, and there seems to be 10 *goshdarn* guys in front of him!



New    and improved!  Well hell! I'm sold.

Tiger's not battling it out with anyone on that course today.  He's battling it out with history.  Jack, Snead, Nelson, Hogan, Jones, etc.  Those guys are his competition. 

A touch melodramatic perhaps but I think seeing it otherwise is giving in to emotion and maybe delusion.  This guy is something else and before he's done he'll be considered the best ever by everyone - even the good doctor.   



But yeah, the media can make it hard to take.  That's certain.
