So this is telling us we're likely to have a recession? C'mon, you can be gloomier and doomier than that.
Not just a recession, a true depression- caused by the compounding feedback effect of the peak in conventional liquid fuels production. In all the cases but one, from 1970 on, the recessions were short lived because the economy was able to rebound due to the plateau or decrease in oil price. There will be no such thing in the short-medium term this time around. |
