Vista!!!!!!!!!!

Laptop will not connect to network automatically in Vista. Ubuntu no problems. Manually select network and it connects but no internet. Ubuntu no problems. So now I am fed up. Dumping windows completely and reloading Ubuntu. Windows is gone. |

there's a 100% kickass sale on the m1330 right now, but i can't convince myself to pull the trigger because i KNOW i'm still pissing $100+ away on the preinstalled vista that i will instantly wipe off the machine   |

So within 1 hour I have install the Ultimate Ubuntu flava and the wireless is working flawlessly.
Windows is completely gone from this laptop.

dell was having one of those give away desktop deals a couple months ago so i got my kids one. it came with a 22" lcd that i sold on ebay for 230.00 so it cost me 200.00 for the desktop with a dual core and a gig of ram.  so anyhow, you had your choice of xp pro or vista. i have been running xp pro on all my computers for years flawlessly, i mean with no problems what so evar. so i figured why *fudge* with a good thing.  |

Tomorrow Ubuntu 8.04 goes live! I thought it was next week, I just downloaded the RC because of all the updates on the laptop it didnt boot up right away. Well I guess I'll just upgrade tomorrow. |
