Sylar breaking out - I thought when Edin began to impose her thought control on him, that opened a gateway for him to use his powers. There was something that prevented the powers from inside the cell projecting outward. Remember when the dad said, "We are going to take you apart peice by piece." I took that to mean they could project in but he couldn't project out. Maybe they didn't understand that by doing that, Sylar was able to use his powers.

Peter - I thought maybe the power mimcing is killing him like in "The Dead Zone" or "The Green Mile". Although it didn't seem to affect him the other times, so it may have something to do with the healing power, like maybe she (Claire) wasn't around long enough to heal all the internal bleeding/injuries.

 Shocked  Thanks for the warning.
I think I'll enjoy the show more if I'm surprised.

Random things I may have imagined:
- What caused Peter Petrelli to develop the cough and later collapse?  It was in the police station, but was it the cop, Bennet, or the Haitian that triggered it?  Maybe Peter, as a power mimicker/absorber didn't react well to the Haitian, a power negator?

My assumption was much simpler: he died when he fell, Claire's healing powers healed him, but since healing is her power and not his it didn't "take." He seemed to look much better when she was in the cell with him. Perhaps without an ongoing healing power, his body thinks it should be dead? [Actually, now that I read it, I don't know that my theory is any simpler than yours. lol]

I was on the same line, just not as deep.  I  was thinkin' he wasn't totally healed, because he wasn't with her long enough, and still has some broken ribs or something.
