Home course nine - PB
« on: May 13, 2008, 11:25:43 AM »

Shot 43 counting a 18-2 penalty while setting up for my putt after the best tee shot I've ever played on #16 - a 191-yard (played off 200 today) uphill par-3 with lots of trouble.  The ball moved 1/4" but I'd grounded my putter so...  Don't Know

Sixteen putts.  Two reasonable bunker extractions and those have been my nemesis lately.  Two "best evar" 60* flop shots to downhill greens.  One long made putt (25' downhill left to righter).  Zero missed short putts (< 4' and maybe even 5').

Very excited about this.  I've shot 39 on another course before but this might be better especially considering the penalty stroke which isn't at all indicative of my play.  My home course is much tougher than the other one.  This nine is rated/sloped at 35.9/131 from the blues at 3384 yards.

Woot.   Buddies

Excellent. I think I shot a 120 or something last time I played there.

I've done that more than once.  Certainly topped 110 a few times.  It's a tough azz course.  71.6/131/6701 from the blues and I think that rating/slope is soft.

Thanks gents.

Playing there again on Sunday.  It'll *goshdarn* chew me to bits.  Guaranteed.  Golf, and specifically Valley View, has no tolerance for righteous fulfillment.

Shot 92 (91 ESC) which is my PB over a full 18 at this course.  Pretty happy although I legitimately left a bunch of shots out there.  I wouldn't say I played well as exemplified by three three-putts over my first four holes.  Bladed two shots back and forth across the green on one hole for a snowman.  Just didn't really have it today yet the score was decent.

Oh, and I parred that #2 handicap 18th hole mentioned in the other thread.  Had a good look at birdie too and left the putt 4" short on a dead center line.  Cost me a beer as I needed that for a push on our standard bet.
