If I don't get one for B-day/X-mas, I'm buying one right after the holidays.   From my link after a post in the playstation 2 thread on that other forum.... http://ps3seeker.com/wii/ December 17th they flood into your area.  I'm thinking about braving the crowds in the morning for one.  I've been scanning slickdeals and fatwallet today to gauge my chances of getting one.  |

Hmm, I drove by the Best Buy near me and there were 5 people camping out at 6:30 tonight. It's very cold tonight and raining, supposed to get down to 35*. No line at that time at the Circuit City, though. I think I'll decide in the morning.

Woe is mii. I return empty-handed. I definitely underestimated the demand for the Wii. They didn't have as many as I thought there would be. Yeah. I just plan on avoiding the holiday rush. I have to credit Ninentendo though, it appears they were much more prepared for release(with product) than Sony. Not to mentions sales Kickin' that PS ass! |

There were some massive lines at 6am this morning. From the people I talked to, I needed to get there around 2am. The Best Buy near me had 18, Circuit City had 11, and the ToysRUs had 12. The lines were usually at least double that amount by 6:30 because of people getting in line "just in case". Most lines followed a pattern. At the front were the twentysomethings in tents and sleeping bags. In the middle were the parents that have waited in Wii lines before and were determined to get one this time. At the back were a mix of stragglers like mii.  |

You are aware, that a $20 investment of Khaki pants, and a blue, or red, knit polo, depending on which store, easily gets you to the front of the line. Oh, the "school custodian" style ring of keys, and walkie-talkie make a good finish as well. |
