I think you jumped the rails there. But anyway - my intent was pointing out the double standard, not any defense of Bush. He was equally crucified before Iraq and no one here was outraged then. And the McCain bashing out there - no one upset about that? (and before you ask - no, I'm not upset by any of it) Guess I'm just being cold-hearted again. |

Todd Riffle, spokesman for the New Jersey Republican State Committee, said the state party isn't tied to local Republican clubsIf I went down to the local university and met with a Democratic club on campus - would I not see/hear slogans of equal nuttiness about Bush? Are they to be associated as an official wing of the Democratic Party? I certainly wouldn't make that leap. Besides, were I an Obama supporter I'd welcome such slogans by an 'official wing' of the Republican Party - the nuttier the other side gets the better Obama looks. One of the seldom used tactics in politics is to allow your adversary the time and space to make fools of themselves. Problem is, most politicians and parties cannot keep their mouths shut about anything. And boy, I hate to be seen as any supporter of Bush (and its really not about him at all) - but sometimes it gets a little thick around here. |
