when you have an industry with a license to steal it's not only possible it's probable. the oil industry is killing the auto industry by virtue of nobody being able to afford a new car while paying for everything else in their life being inflated by the oil industry.
why are honda and toyota still profitable in domestic sales then?  yes, we've beaten this horse into oblivion already |

you'd think a phd would be able to read.  from your link, Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., today reported July sales of 197,424 vehicles, a decrease of 18.7 percent from last July, on a daily selling rate basis.
The Toyota Division posted July sales of 175,242 units, a decrease of 17.9 percent from last July. For the record, it's always sort of puzzled me why a guy whose livelihood pretty much hinges on a strong economy derives such pleasure out of the fact that it's tanking, perhaps it's sort of bizarre reverse-schadenfreude. But I've never quite understood Norwegian black metal and corpse paint either. I always figured aske just marches to the beat of a different double bass drum.
