Dear Correctional Officer:
Congratulations and welcome to the Washington State Department of Corrections! As a Correctional Officer, you are required to be fitted for uniforms and attend administrative training/testing for three days prior to beginning the Correctional Worker Core Academy . This letter briefly explains the next steps in the process as a new DOC employee.And the coolest part:
Weapons Qualification:
When: No later than 5:55 a.m. on August 14 and 15
Where: McNeil Island Correctional Center ( MICC ).Nothing like the smell of gunfire at 6 in the morning, it smells like...

Was this like getting a college acceptance letter, or did you know beforehand that you were accepted for the position?
If it was the former, that salutation "Dear Correctional Officer" must have been pretty exciting to see.

I "officially" found out about a week ago ( http://www.golfhos.com/topic-9067.html), it's been a month long process, ending yesterday with the thumbs up from my doctor. I even went out and got the modified MFAWG haircut (3/4 of an inch vs. 1/4 of an inch) I am definitely born again hard private MFAWG. Awesome! 'tis and a wee miracle.  Good one Seamus, we can now officially call you a "SCREW". If this is anything like calling me a cab, you betcha you can. |
