Not that it necessarily relates to the story, but I was thinking about Sturgis today, as most of my coworkers have made some comment about how I should be there, you know because I ride a Harley.

Not that I'm a hardcore biker by any stretch but the whole thing just seems like one big poser fest. Sturgis is pretty much a costume party for CPAs and Dentists who want to play biker for a week. I imagine one can make a killing on motorcycle trailer parking 10 miles outside the city limits.

I can buy a Sturgis t-shirt on Ebay for $20, have all the supposed street cred of the guy who was actually there, and have the added benefit of not having to put up with Sturgis. *fudge* Sturgis.

My brother rides and he was stationed for 5 years at Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City and witnessed Sturgis a couple of times. Mainly due to the proximity. He would say that you've nailed it on the the poser comment. In fact a lot of people trailer their bikes out there and just ride around for a few days.

Well put.

Although I'm having trouble reconciling it with your admitted love of boobies.

I guess there's always Mardi Gras.
