Great routines on the floor to clinch the Gold-Silver tandem.  Everyone at the pub was glued to the TV to see the finish.

and THAT was why i was so pissed the other night when Sacramone gagged.  the 2 best girls showed why the team could have perhaps got gold as well with even competent contributions from the supporting cast.   oh well.

Last night was my first extended viewing of the gymnastics. Good stuff.

And with all the tension around the judging throughout the night I think they got it right in the end.

Nice to see a clean competition, where no top athlete fell, missed a release move, or otherwise threw up on herself.  Those last three floor routines were clutch.

And Bela Karolyi is a hoot!

The video feed they replayed of him during the winner's floor routine was tremendous.
