On August 22, 2008, ABC News reported that the Secret Service had "dispatched a protective detail to assume the immediate protection" of Biden and that "in all likelihood, [...] Biden has been officially notified that" he had been selected by presumptive Democratic nominee for president Barack Obama to be his running mate. |

Just dont understand the appeal of "hope and change" campaign by picking some grizzled long term washington insider, especially one so tied to banking and credit lobbyists. I do understand the political motivation behind why picking him makes sense to counter a lot of the McCain "experience" things though.... |
