Dear Blader,
« on: September 06, 2008, 09:13:46 PM »

I'm watching and enjoying The Devil Wears Prada at home alone on a Saturday night with my cat while doing the laundry.

Could I be catching The Ghey?

Regards,

Uncertain in Seattle

"Catching"?

I should mention the bitchy girl with the accent is HAWT, and all girls with accents are.

A normal 6 is an easy 8 if she uses 'Brilliant' as an exclamation, if she has the right accent.

I must say though, that the Northern Queensland accent doesn't really do it for me.... Cool

The accent thing is frequently misinterpreted.

(Non-ghey) Men are attracted to women with accents who also have pouty overbites.  Attraction to accents alone aren't enough to classify one as safely hetero****ual.  It is the combination of these ****ually provocative features...what we in the business term a "covariant traits"...that matter.  See Will & Grace, episode 48, "The Intruder"

In other words, if you are attracted to her and she doesn't have a pouty overbite--I wouldn't know myself, having never heard of the movie, much less seen it--then I'm afraid you are, indeed, at risk of catching teh ghey.

I hope this helps.  At the same time, I am deeply sorry if this is the answer you hoped not to hear, or was one you even expected with that sort of tingly anticipation running down your spine all the way to your socks we see in a lot of our ghey clients.  Whatev's.

I enjoy staying at home making flower bouquets whilst listening to Joni Mitchell.  Does that make me ghey?

No, it just means that you enjoy the submissive role.  Not to give trade secrets away, but the Joni Mitchell fetish was the tipoff.  She scares the *feces* out of gheys.

My mother loves Joni Mitchell.

She's nice and all, but she's no EmmyLou Harris.
