The sad and the funny of it

The sad news is Hurricane Ike will hit Texas! The funny part is a customer called today and was concerned about flooding for us. We are in Dallas, no where near the Gulf of Mexico. I asked her what did she mean, she said the hurricane that was approaching. Oh! I tried to explain to her if and when the hurricane hit, because you never know the direction these things are going to go, we could get rain, but not to the extent of what the people along the coast would get. She wanted to know "How much rain would we get?" At this point I wanted to reach thru the phone and slap her. How long is a piece of string? Who the hell knows how much rain we will get, but as long as I have lived here, a hurricane hitting the gulf has never shut the city down. She thought we would have to close so whenever she decided to order the order she wants to receive "yesterday" can go out the following day.

{What I mean by yesterday, is everybody who waits until the last minute to have something sent to them.}
