We have to worry about Ike

Talk here at work is a possible idling of the factories over the weekend due to Ike. Not that that's going to affect me as I will be home anyway but the wind and rain might be strong enough to cut power. Better charge the Nintendos and iPhone.

On the bright side it looks like all the soccer and baseball games for my kids will be posponed this weekend.

Some of the pictures I am seeing are amazing, but I am glad I am here and not there. Of course I will have to wait until tomorrow to know what we will get from it.

(So far 1 game has been cancelled, the other 2 not yet. I dread the make up schedule, I would rather they play the games when they are scheduled.)

Sure enough all our plants in Dallas are closing at 7:00 tomorrow morning for 24 hours.

And the first soccer game at 8:30 is still on. The others have been canceled. Hate! Now I can't even sleep in.

Anyway they expect Ike to still be close to a Cat1 when it gets close to Dallas. We should get some rain out of this. Rain

So I have my drugs, we have liquor, and phones and Nintendos are being charged. We are ready.

Shut down factories? Keep SOCCER going? How un-American is that? Wink

Seriously, as the storm got closer to you guys I been thinkin' about cha. Batten down the hatches and all that rot.
