Some tells you something about someone or something and you get angry. You continue the conversation and get more angry. Then you decide to take it to the source and find out your anger is unwarrented. Now you're angry because you had no reason to be angry to begin with.

That and conversations should not be conducted with email.

yes. everyday. and it's worse because the people involved speak about 20 words of engrish.

I've had that happen to me.  Someone I've known for a long time approached me completely pissed off.  They couldn't believe I did that, etc.

I was baffled.  Turns out the person they heard it from was talking about a different *hobbit*.  So I got a HUGE apology, but now I was pissed for that person ever believing I would have done that to begin with.

Such is life.
