There seem to be several dog owners here
Used to have a cat, does that count?

We have 3 dogs (a mastiff, German pinscher, and all american). Their favorite treats are Greenies. The Greenies are supposed to freshen their breath but that seems to be false advertising. They also like butcher bones (raw or smoked). The dogs received a number of toys at Christmas and the big favorite is a plush hedgehog. The toy grunts and rattles. All 3 dogs fight over this toy while a pile of others sit idly by. We got it at Petco by the way.

We give CET chews to our blue heeler. He loves them, and they are good for cleaning the teeth. I think they are only available from a Vet, and they are a bit expensive. But what the heck, now if you don't give him one after dinner, the litte bastich barks at you until it arrives.

She somehow produces twice as much as she takes in I wish my portfolio performed as well

I'll have to try space's suggestion on the Kong toys. My boxer goes after the nylobones so fiercly that he cuts the heck out of his jowls and makes a freakin' mess. The rawhide chews, regardless of size, are done in a sitting - the larger the chew, the longer the sitting. A good buddy swears by Bil-Jac for treats. After seeing his dog go after the stuff, I might have to try it in place of peanut butter
