Wow, we got hit three times by spammers.  This type of spam is hard to prevent since I believe it's a person manually signing up and posting and not a bot.

not sure how effective it would be.... but can you disable hyperlinks in signatures?

I hadn't thought about that.  I guess no one here has links in their signatures anyway, so it wouldn't matter.

Oh yeah, scratch that.  It turns out they get around that by making their links part of the post and not in an actual signature.  The line separator is much shorter than the full line for a real signature.
