There was no announcement, no press release, NOTHING. We tuned in to watch the NWA, and we got McMahon's freak show.

FWIW, McMahon's 'Weekly Wrap Up' type show lasted less than 3 months. It was so unpopular, McMahon was forced to sell to Jim Crockett, and all was well again with the incomparable (apologies to Frank Bonnema) Gordon Solie hosting:



But the spell was broken, and EVERYBODY knew nobody gave a *feces* about the fans.
