I saw hardly any of the RNC. I've heard Romney speak before, so I can imagine how dull his acceptance speech was.

Barry, OTOH, was on his game, although I did cringe a little when he said that his economic plan would reduce the deficit by $4 trillion, which is a little difficult to do if the deficit is only about $1 trillion. I let this misspeak about deficit vs. nation debt slide since the rest of his speech was excellent.

Right now, Barry has a 77.3% chance of winning.  I think the world of this forecasting methodology....they nailed 2008 with extremely high precision.

Furthermore, Romney has reportedly bailed out of Michigan and Pennsylvania to double down resources in other swing states

So  in answer to your question, no, it does not really appear to be much of a contest at this time.

NM/CO and FL look like little blue islands in a sea of red that spans the South and the fly-over states in the middle. Good thing the election isn't based on geographic area.

And how do you explain Indiana? Why is it so much different than Illinois and Ohio? It's not even close to being a battleground state.
