Just to clarify: after the first round the remaining teams are re-seeded based on their original rankings, so it's not like a traditional bracket. Meaning if Ottawa, NYR, NJ, and Buffalo were to win their respective first rounds, in the second round, Buffalo (1) would play NYR (6) and NJ (2) would play Ottowa (4). But if ATL (3) beat NYR (6) then Buffalo (1) would play Ottowa (4) and NJ (2) would play ATL (3). Is this correct?

sure thing, playa. i'm assuming you'll work up something similar for the nba's   Actually, I'd be happy to facilitate the NBA playoff contest, but after I check my schedule it turns out that I'm going to be in Las Vegas for 5 days during the first round (April 24-29) so if we can find an automated system (cbssportsline or the like) I can run it. Otherwise I'll probably have to pass the buck to someone who can pay better attention to it than I will be able to. I can still come up with some meager prizes to contribute even if I don't run it. |
