Best Movie Car Chase

You have to start the discussion with The French Connection. Classic. There's the chase in The Italian Job which is pretty good but I don't think Minis are quite able for all that. Terminator and Matrix trilogies (whichever movies, can't remember) have some good stuff. But for me, the best on film is Ronin.

French Connection came 3 years later.

I've never even heard of Bullitt. Shame on me? Or is it a teh suk movie? Even if not first TFC has to be recognized.

Yeah, often imitated, never duplicated. McQueen does his own driving, IIRC and the guy driving the Charger was actually the stunt coordinator as well:

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World was one big, giganormous car chase, and came out years before the French Connection, which is widely credited undeservedly, IMO.
