Ideas for a swapshop?
« on: December 19, 2006, 09:55:39 PM »

What would you guys like to see in a swapshop here?

I know that there were many changes to the swapshop that people wanted to see over in the other place (like categories, lefty-only section)  We've got a chance to start from scratch here, which is nice.  Also, we can tweak things over time, too, nothing is set in stone.

Categories for specific clubs, e.g.- Drivers, FWs, Hybrids, Irons, Wedges, Putters, Multiple Clubs, Lefty...Maybe "Components Only" and "Want to buy"

Then again, coachsb and I could just send PMs to each other and save everyone else the trouble.  Devil

I would think that the more organization the better.  However, I don't think I'll be frequenting that section very often. Sad

lol at space

my 2 cents

categories should be used

I know some forums require a pic, not sure if you want to do that, most of us know each other through previous actions or from word of mouth, although pics are worth it if you can send them

I dont think you should allow bumping, especially if you use categories

Not sure how you are doing the forum-ie sponsors etc, but do you want to limit people who say work for a pro-shop and are trying to clear stuff out, from posting-cause it might compete with a sponsor-non-issue if no sponsors, but could be sticky if there are

for the record, I have yet to have a problem on any of the boards that I have swapped on fgi, gea both have worked well

Personally I don't think a swapshop section on this board is a good idea.... after all (I think) the major purpose of this site is for dribbling... major "supplier" is Aske?  Wink I just feel that anything involved $$/profit&loss in such a friendly board will whack it to pieces at the end of the day.

Just my 2c.

I think you're confusing the weirdos from Melbourne and Sydney with New Zealanders Wink

Is that some lost in translation thing?

It's funny as hell either way.
