[SPOILERS] Matt Cassel (or Fuzzy FTW)

I'm on the fence about Garcia. I have my doubts he's got two good years left. And by good I mean enough to get to the SB not just make the playoffs. Because that's what you need to shoot for with this team and the stage they are at with the defense.

They f'ed this up when the drafted T-Jack and anointed him QB of the future.

Cassel will be gone IF they get a good offer. 1st and 3rd + ?  Someone (KC?) will step up. $14M is too much to pay for a backup. If they get a 1st they get another QB because Belichick figures he can turn him into Cassel II. The big question is Brady. If they keep Cassel it will be because Brady's knees isn't ready.

Matt Cassel, whom the New England Patriots named as their franchise player in early February, has been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cassel has been informed of the trade, ESPN.com's John Clayton and ESPN's Michael Smith confirmed. An announcement could come as early as Saturday afternoon.

The Patriots originally dealt Cassel to the Chiefs -- now run by former New England vice president of player personnel Scott Pioli -- on Friday for an undisclosed draft pick. Now it has been learned that the Chiefs will get both Vrabel and Cassel in exchange for the 34th overall pick in April's draft.

There is little doubt in my mind after spending a good portion of the day working on the Jay Cutler story that the Vikings have interest in the Pro Bowl quarterback. (Credit goes to the Denver Post for first reporting this.) In fact, I would not be surprised if the Vikings were one of the teams that has made an offer to Denver for the disgruntled quarterback.
